About the Community Support Worker Role

 

You will be providing support and companionship to a range of adults living in their own homes across Greater Manchester, Derbyshire & Cheshire.

 

Our clients range from adults with learning difficulties to the elderly with everything in between, and you will be offering a supportive ear and a calm presence whilst bringing an element of fun into their daily activities and needs. 

 

The role will be extremely varied, here’s a few ideas of what you might get up to:

  • Assisting with daily routines, including mornings, lunchtimes, and evenings
  • Offering companionship and attending social activities such as museum trips, football matches, meals out and visits to the gym.
  • Providing personal care to those who require it
  • Preparing meals and assisting with medication
  • Light cleaning and household duties


This is a permanent position with contracted hours and various shift patterns to suit you.

 

We are looking for people who have:


  • A kind nature and good communication
  • Good listening skills and a willingness to learn
  • A genuine desire to make a real difference in people’s lives
  • The ability to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude, person centered values, energy, and commitment to providing an exceptional quality service
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
