Creative Design Lead

Passionate about pubs, pints and Photoshop? Then we need you. We’re looking for a Creative Design Lead, to help shape our brand's creative vision. From leading design for major seasonal campaigns, to supporting the visual identity and repositioning of our pubs and Young’s Rooms, there’s lots of opportunity to bring your creativity to the mix.

 Pubs have been at the very heart of Young’s since we were established in 1831, and today we operate over 200 pubs, from contemporary vibrant urban pubs, to friendly, traditional locals at the heart of their community.

 As our Creative Design Lead, you will deliver significant impact through innovative design solutions with proven experience in creative direction or brand design. You will be excited by advanced design techniques to ensure cutting-edge content creation. This role supports the Sales & Marketing team in making design-led decisions and will help maximise brand impact and ensure content aligns with our company vision. Applicants will need creative curiosity and demonstrate innovation and drive within a fast-paced environment.

 Requirements

  1. 2+ years of experience in a creative lead or brand design role with a passion for hospitality.
  2. Passionate about creating innovative brand content and campaign execution.
  3. Proficient in advanced content creation tools and techniques including, Illustrator, InDesign (understanding of data merge), Procreate or Photoshop.
  4. A great collaborator with an open, can-do attitude, willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
  5. Creative, innovative, and detail-oriented, making sure designs and brand content are cutting-edge and impactful.

 Key Responsibilities

  1. Work with the Senior Brand Content Manager to lead the creative direction for marketing campaigns such as Christmas and seasonal food & drink.
  2. Design and deliver engaging internal communication tools.
  3. Deliver creative design briefs internally or through external freelancers.
  4. Assist in innovative content creation for brand digital assets.
  5. Manage and optimise the Digital Asset Bank (DAM) to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of digital content and brand assets.
  6. Support with photography/videography in alignment with refurbishments and repositioning, ensuring shoots are GDPR compliant.
  7. Support in delivering industry leading brand content for digital channels.
  8. Manage and allocate design budgets effectively to maximise creative output.
