Position Overview:
This job requires the FOH Operational Manager to direct the work of all FOH store employees in order to create and maintain a profitable store environment that fulfills the Brand Promise.
Accountable: Team

• Share our Passion for Wine (Knowledge, Sales, Technique, History, Evolution)
• Expected Weekly Hours: 50hrs per week

Position Duties: The duties and responsibilities of a FOH Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
• Effectively teach, motivate, coach, and inspire all FOH team, including assistant managers, team leads. Must garner the respect of all team members.
• Participate in the proactive approach in recruiting team members that meet or exceed Brand Standards. Must ensure that the proper interview and training procedures are followed.
• Ensure that Steps of Service are followed at all times and motivate front of house team to execute at the highest level while having the guests experience in mind at all times.
• Responsibly handle cash, including but not limited to assigning drawers, computing employee checkouts, and delivering bank deposits.
• Be proficient with interviewing, warning, counseling, hiring and terminating employees, and ensure that all such events are properly documented.
• Respectfully and properly handle all issues of alleged discrimination or harassment in accordance with company policy, and contact the Brechtel Hospitality Corporate Office if necessary.
• Maintain a fun, playful atmosphere free of intimidation, discrimination, harassment, poor attitude, and poor work performance.
• Drive sales by working team members to execute excellent operations, local store marketing efforts, and social media marketing efforts.
• Train and develop the store’s future leadership team, providing and documenting regular coaching and evaluation.
• In coordination with the Training Coordinator; maintain organized and updated training schedules, programs and materials for new employees.
• Practice sound inventory control and training behaviors.
• Dress and act professionally each day to set a good example for all employees.
• Be willing and able at any time to correct standards that are not met in any area.
• Uphold standards of cleanliness per Health Code and periodic Quality Assurance checks.
• Ensure that alcohol is always served responsibly and in accordance with the law.

Supervision Received: This position will report to the Operating Partner.

Accountability Exercised: Property Managers, Work Group Captains, Team Members

Qualifications & Skills:
• Must have substantial experience multi-tasking and coordinating work groups within a Hospitality driven restaurant.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with quickly changing situations with many variables. Ability to mathematically compute proper change, accurately perform checkouts for employees, and compute correct bank deposits.
• Must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food and/or alcohol service certifications.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this role, the FOH Operations Manager is regularly required to stand for up to 10hours; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or carry objects, product, or controls; and talk or hear. The FOH Operations Manager frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The FOH Operations Manager is occasionally required to sit. The FOH Operations Manager must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
