HR Business Partner

An HRBP operates in a consultancy role across different departments, they understand the high-level needs and goals of the company and its leadership. HRBPs will strategically advise and determine next steps, on matters of employee engagement and how to approach workforce interventions.

HR Business Partner Job Responsibilities

  • Work with a company’s management to determine their current HR needs and provide solutions.
  • Work closely with the HR team to help implement goals set by upper management.
  • Create strategic ways to improve the relationship between the company’s leadership and its employees.
  • Work with operations team to develop and upkeep strategic talent plans.
  • Conduct periodic development meetings with managers.
  • Facilitate Employee Relations investigations.
  • Participate in the candidate screening and job interviewing processes to ensure new hires align with upper management’s goals.
  • Manage talent and learning strategy encompassing succession planning, coaching, performance management organizational effectiveness, performance consulting and development of learning programs.
  • Draft new HR policies in accordance with organizational goals, industry trends and labor laws or regulations.
  • Stay current on HR trends to develop solutions using current best practices in the field.
  • Ensure a strong understanding of laws and regulations to help the company stay in compliance.
  • Assists Operations in maintaining Safety guidelines and procedures.

HR Business Partner Skills and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll, and human resources software
  • Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
  • Leadership and coaching skills
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and analytically driven
  • Significant HR and employment law knowledge
HR Business Partner Education and Training Requirements

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or another related field plus at least four years in the HR field.  In absence of a degree, candidates should have 5+ years of experience in the HR field. In addition, the candidate should have experience as an HR Business Partner.
