OUR HOTEL
Opening soon, Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield is a brand-new 150-bedroom hotel perfectly located between Sheffield and Rotherham. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of the hotel’s opening team — playing a key role in shaping the culture, guest experience, and success of a brand-new property from day one.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER AT OUR HOTEL
What you'll be doing...
Lead the Food & Beverage department, setting high standards in service and guest experience across all areas including the Bistro & Bar, meeting space, and in-room dining
Recruit, train, and develop a passionate F&B team who understand the importance of warm, genuine hospitality and impeccable service
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and attention to detail, from breakfast setup to evening bar service
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to design and deliver seasonal menus that align with brand standards and local market appeal
Monitor guest feedback, respond promptly to concerns, and ensure issues are resolved to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction
Manage department budgets, forecast sales, control costs, and maximise revenue opportunities through upselling and promotions
Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, licensing laws, and health & safety requirements
Work closely with Sales & Events to support meetings and special events, ensuring exceptional F&B delivery and smooth logistics
Drive innovation, keeping up with F&B trends and seeking out opportunities to enhance the guest experience
What We Need from You:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Food and Beverage managerial role within a hotel or similar hospitality environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service
Proven experience in budgeting, stock control, scheduling, and driving financial performance
Knowledge of health & safety legislation, HACCP, food hygiene standards, and licensing regulations
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Computer literacy with proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
