Now in collaboration with renowned chef and meat expert Richard H. Turner – the
‘King of London’s Carnivores’ – we’re going back to our roots and taking our
BBQ to the next level. Low & slow is the name of the game: Brisket, Jacob’s
Ladder, Baby Back Ribs and more, smoked in-house and served with soul.
Our Covent Garden smokehouse is a prime destination for pre-theatre meals and
post-show drinks, just minutes from the West End’s most iconic venues.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a dynamic, commercially
minded General Manager to lead our well-established central London site. You’ll
be the face of the restaurant, driving performance, developing your team, and
delivering memorable guest experiences.
This is a great opportunity to step into a key leadership role with scope to
grow, both professionally and as part of a wider group expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all daily operations of a
high-volume restaurant
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding hospitality
- Enhance and elevate the guest experience at every opportunity
- Manage staff recruitment, training, rotas, and performance
- Control costs, manage stock, and deliver strong P&L results
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards
- Work with Business Development to promote the site and drive local engagement
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a General Manager or strong
Assistant General Manager in a busy restaurant or pub
- Passion for hospitality and a guest-first mindset
- Proven ability to lead, train, and retain a high-performing team
- Confident in financial reporting, stock control, and operational planning
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
- A love of BBQ and American-style service is a big plus!
