Job: Assistant Restaurant Manager at Cowley Manor

Based in: Cowley, Cheltenham

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

In cooperation with the Restaurant Manager:

 Operational management

●      Oversee operations of the restaurant, ensuring the smooth running of the venue.

●      Follow checklists and ensure the restaurant is ready for operation.

●      Create a welcoming environment for customers and drive a guest focus culture.

●      Handle and provide adequate solution to customer complaints.

●      Deal with customer feedback, sharing to the team and implementing actions.

●      Propose rapid and well-thought-out solutions in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

●      Oversee the cleanliness of the venue and pay attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations.

●      Ensure all Health & Safety legal requirements are up to date.

●      Oversee the restaurants booking system.

Team Management

 ●      Train and supervise the restaurant team, encouraging upselling.

●      Create a positive work environment, ensuring a high employee engagement and optimising the employee retention.

●      Carry out regular reporting on service-related activities.

ABOUT YOU

·      Experience in a similar role within a comparable venue.

·      Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

·      Be well spoken with excellent communication skills.

·      Attention to details and customer needs.

·      Social, engaging and motivated.

·      Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations.

·      Passion for wine, WSET citification an advance

·      Access to transport preferred.

·      Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
