Assistant General Manager – Stadhampton, Oxford.

 We are looking for a professional and hands-on Assistant General Manager for our 23 room, boutique hotel in Stadhampton, Oxford. This is a vital role within the company, so we are looking for someone with extensive managerial experience and a passion for delivering the highest levels of service. You will need to thrive in fast-paced and vibrant environment and seek to grow with the company.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills; alongside fantastic attention to detail and good operations management experience.

Assistant General Manager Duties:

  • Overseeing daily operations and ensuring employee productivity
  • Deputising for the General Manager in their absence; including overseeing all front-of-house rotas and staffing levels, wage costs, employee development, and health and safety
  • Creating a positive work environment for employees, and managing the daily shifts of all departments
  • Managing employee and guest feedback; communicating clearly with the senior management and operations teams.
  • Ensuring that all guests consistently receive prompt, professional attention, and outstanding personal service
  • Always being proactive in making sure that training is maintained in all aspects of service

With events, conferences and weddings comprising a large proportion of our business, you will have overall responsibility for the smooth running of this department and work closely with our sales and events managers.
