Purpose of the role: 
Reporting to Head of IT this is a business-facing role where you will be given the opportunity to add real value. The IT Business Analyst must be able to demonstrate they are a customer focused individual with the energy, drive and commitment to make it happen.  This role will be required to work closely with the E-commerce department driving change and efficiencies on the order platform, the order creation and order fulfilment system. 

This role will be working on projects, which may affect several areas of the business, and thus, good Organisational Politics, Conflict Management and Interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment to business objective:
  • Champion the customer experience;
  • Understand business requirements including documentation of as is / to be scenarios;
  • Create implementation specifications and project plans;
  • Assist and support QA, UAT and user training;
  • Ensure that colleagues and project stakeholders have a clear view of progress, issues, risks and interdependencies relating to project delivery;
  • Exercise judgment to document/present available options to the stakeholders and make recommendations based on financial, resource, and technological considerations;
  • Focus on standardization of business process;
  • Understand ecommerce best practices and technology trends.

Essential skills:

  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues to non IT-experts;
  • Organised and flexible to changing business priorities;
  • Problem solving & delivering results;
  • Excellent listening skills;
  • Willingness to take ownership of issues, ensure all interested parties are kept informed of progress and deliver solutions;
  • Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with changing priorities;
  • Action Orientated;
  • Highest level of integrity, honesty and trust;
  • Drive for results.

Desirable skills:

  • Knowledge of AX or any other ERP system such as Oracle or SAP.

Experience:

  • Solid background in business enablement through technology;
  • Experience with all aspects of IT projects, from design through development, testing, implementation, and support;
  • Experience of B2B and/or B2C ecommerce solutions, ideally in a manufacturing business;
  • Analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
  • Demonstrated ability to review, consolidate and communicate with all levels within IT and the business.
