Purpose of the role

To support the Branch Merchandiser in optimizing the stock packages by channel in order to deliver the channel sales plans and manage stock in the most profitable way.

Responsible for supporting the Branch Merchandiser in the development of the MAA and allocators.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Supports the Branch merchandiser to understand store space planning and the requirements of both the OM range vs terminal stock management.
  • Supports the Branch Merchandiser in grading prime stores based on space and sales and understanding option planning from the Core Merch teams.
  • Ensures all options are allocated in line with launch plans for all channels.
  • Supports the Branch Merchandiser in producing an accurate weekly STF forecasting for both intake and despatch for the logistics team.
  • Understands the Crew customer and their aspirations, Bi-monthly visits to stores with cross functional partners and ensure competitor knowledge is always up to date.

Trade

  • Oversees the production of product line reports, and all store reports for trade.
  • Deputizes for Branch Merchandiser in trade meetings, summarising allocations and despatches for the past and upcoming weeks.
  • Directs the allocators using weekly analysis to ensure stock pushes are actioned timely for fast turning styles, and stores.
  • Supports the Branch Merchandiser in planning stocks levels required by store for all upcoming promotions and MD activity.

Analysis and Decision Making

  • Issues weekly category analysis report to RM’s for all stores & regions.
  • Manages all consolidation requests from all stores by liaising with the retail and logistics teams to manage stock movements in a timely and cost effective manner, in line with plan.
  • Review proposed window and mannequin options to ensure sufficient stocks at store level to support VM activity.
  • Manages stock movements for Shows and Wholesale upon receipt of stock into the warehouse.
  • Manages the allocation and replenishment of all stock for both prime and clearance events.

People Management

  • Train & manage the workload of the Allocators and the MAA.

Key Skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Analytical and numerical, with excellent computer literacy in Excel /Outlook/Word
  • Competent in fundamental branch merchandising principles
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a work schedule whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with other department members
  • Able to work with pace and energy.
