The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-focused Senior Housekeeper to join the team at the Crown & Garter.
You will play a key role in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards across our guest bedrooms and front-of-house areas, helping to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for every guest.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and supports the wider team in maintaining consistent housekeeping standards across the site.
What You’ll Be Doing
Cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to a consistently high standard
Supporting daily organisation and prioritisation of housekeeping duties
Maintaining cleanliness across restaurant and front-of-house areas as required
Dusting, vacuuming and maintaining floors, furnishings, windows and fixtures
Replenishing guest amenities including soaps, toiletries and bathroom supplies
Managing linen stock, identifying rejected linen and liaising with linen suppliers where required
Keeping linen rooms and housekeeping storage areas clean, organised and fully stocked
Supporting weekly cleaning of staff facilities
Maintaining housekeeping equipment and reporting faults promptly
Logging lost property correctly and handing items to management
Ensuring room keys are signed in and out daily in line with procedures
Completing cleaning records and supply requisitions as required
Reporting maintenance issues promptly through the correct procedures
Supporting periodic deep cleans and exterior window cleaning when required
Health, Safety & Compliance
Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
Supporting strong hygiene standards across guest and staff areas
Maintaining compliance with company policies and cleaning procedures
What We’re Looking For
Previous housekeeping experience within hospitality preferred
Experience working in hotels, pubs with rooms or guest accommodation desirable
Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation standards
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
Comfortable supporting and guiding team members when required
Positive attitude with a guest-focused mindset
