Head Chef – Bistro Freddie (HAM Restaurants Group)
Location: Shoreditch, London E2
Hours: 47 hours per week, flexible shift patterns
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 pa based on experience

About the Role

Our open kitchen is the heartbeat of our intimate space, where every chef cooks in front of appreciative diners. In this high-visibility environment, you’ll craft innovative menus blending British-French bistro classics with contemporary flair. As Head Chef, you’ll have the creative freedom to shape our culinary vision while ensuring smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Innovation – Design and execute seasonal menus that balance tradition and creativity.
  • Leadership & Culture – Train, mentor, and inspire a close-knit brigade, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment.
  • Operations & Efficiency – Oversee stock control, budgets, and seamless service within a compact kitchen.
  • Compliance & Sustainability – Maintain high food hygiene standards while supporting responsible sourcing practices. 

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef in high-quality restaurants.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills in a fast-paced, open-kitchen setting.
  • Passion for seasonal British produce and French culinary techniques.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while ensuring a warm and inviting guest experience.
