As Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing restaurant operations, leading an amazing team, and ensuring that every guest leaves with a smile. If you love great food, fantastic service, and working with an inspiring team, this is the role for you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of Studio Voltaire, ensuring smooth service across Front of House while supporting Back of House.
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating the team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Managing communication between teams, ensuring everyone is aligned and working together seamlessly.
  • Creating a workplace where every team member feels valued, engaged, and motivated.
  • Supporting the recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff to build a strong, high-performing team.
  • Working closely with general manager to develop budgets, monitor costs, and drive profitability.
  • Analysing key performance metrics, customer feedback, and financial reports to inform decision-making and strategy.
  • Staying ahead of food, wine, and industry trends to continuously enhance the restaurant’s offerings.
  • Ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining the highest service standards and handling customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Managing inventory, supplier relationships, and stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
  • Upholding the highest health and safety standards to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Conducting daily inspections to ensure the restaurant is always looking and operating at its best.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities, and keeping everything running smoothly.
  • Maintaining a work-life balance by managing your time effectively, ensuring rest days are truly yours!

What we are looking for:

  • A passionate leader with experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Someone who thrives on delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • A strong communicator who can bring teams together and keep operations running smoothly.
  • A problem-solver who can think on their feet and adapt to any situation.
  • A team player who is ready to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
  • Experience in financial management, budgeting, and performance analysis is a bonus!
  • Ideally, experience in events, weddings, or sales—but we're open to all backgrounds!

What’s in it for you?

  • £37,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience, including service charge.
  • Chance to run a gorgeous, intimate restaurant in a creative exhibition space.
  • Weekly management meetings for input, fun ideas, and your feedback.
  • Personal development plans and paid training to help you grow.
  • Delicious staff meal every shift.
  • Progression opportunities as part of a growing group.
  • Welcome meal for two on the house.
  • 20% off retail wine price.
  • 50% off dining and drinks at any of our HAM. Restaurant locations.
  • Mixture of day and evening shifts—closed on Mondays and Tuesdays!
If you’re ready to bring your energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to a role where you can really make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
