Our first site in Borough launched in February 2025 to rave reviews, and now we’re opening our flagship in Soho.
We’re looking for Grill Chefs who can deliver quality at speed — clean, accurate, and proud of every plate.
In Your First 12 Months, You’ll…Master the grill station within 2 weeks, confidently handling multiple orders during peak service with accurate temperature, timing, and finish on every patty
Hit full station setup and close-down independently, completing daily checklists and keeping your section fully stocked, labelled, and compliant
Maintain sub-10 minute ticket times during peak periods while consistently delivering Heard’s burger quality, seasoning, and build standards
Ensure every burger leaves the pass consistent, with correct sear, melt, and assembly — no shortcuts, no drop in standards
Own the cleanliness and safety of your station, including daily cleaning, equipment checks, and safe grill management
Communicate clearly on shift, working closely with the pass and prep teams to coordinate service and stay ahead of the board
Contribute to stock accuracy by reporting low items, minimising waste, and portioning correctly during prep
Support new starters on the grill, showing them correct techniques and helping them get up to speed during training weeks
Keep EHO and allergen protocols tight, following Heard’s systems and flagging any issues early
Be reliable, professional, and focused — someone the Head Chef and Sous Chef can count on every single shift
Previous experience on grill or hot section in a busy kitchen
Strong awareness of food safety, allergens, and clean working
Calm, confident cooking under pressure — you don’t cut corners
A real sense of pride in every plate and every service
Team-first attitude with good communication and timing
£17/hour – full-time, with stable rota and paid breaks
Monthly meal for you + 4 guests – on us
Formal qualifications – including Mental Health First Aid and H&S Level 2
Career development – with progression into senior line roles and leadership training
