Description
Waiter / Waitress
Spring Street Pizza

Salary Band £16.71

Company Introduction

Spring Street Pizza is a New York–style pizza restaurant dedicated to delivering premium-quality food in a vibrant and welcoming setting. Curated by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kemble, the restaurant combines culinary expertise with a relaxed, fun atmosphere to create a unique dining experience.

Role Introduction

We’re looking for an experienced waiter or waitress to join our team as we head into a busy summer. The role is all about helping the restaurant run smoothly while making sure every guest has a great experience with us.

You’ll be looking after your own section, so being confident and organised is key, especially in a fast-paced environment. Day to day, you’ll be taking orders, running food and drinks, keeping your area clean, and making sure service stays relaxed but professional.

You’ll play a big part in creating a welcoming atmosphere and keeping standards high, helping the whole team deliver the kind of experience we want every guest to leave with.

What You’ll Achieve

Key responsibilities:

Manage your own section efficiently, delivering friendly, attentive, and consistent service

Take accurate food and drink orders and ensure they are delivered promptly

Run food and drinks to tables, maintaining presentation and timing standards

Build positive interactions with guests, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere

Keep the restaurant clean, organised, and ready for service at all times

Support opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is set up and shut down to standard

Assist with basic preparation tasks to support smooth service

Keep fridges stocked and ensure all service areas are well supplied

Work closely with the team to maintain a fast, efficient service during busy periods

Demonstrate reliability and punctuality for all shifts

What success looks like in this role:

Guests leave happy and well looked after, with a strong overall dining experience

Service runs smoothly, even during peak times

Your section is consistently organised, clean, and under control

You contribute positively to the team and help maintain high standards across the restaurant

What You’ll Have

Skills, experience, and qualities we’re looking for:

Previous experience in a similar waiter/waitress role, ideally in a fast-paced restaurant

Confidence managing your own section independently

Strong communication and people skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude

Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure

Good attention to detail, especially when taking orders and delivering service

A team-focused mindset and willingness to support others when needed

Solid understanding of restaurant service standards and customer care

Good time management and reliability, with strong punctuality

A proactive approach — able to anticipate what needs to be done without being asked

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods

Benefits

What we offer:

    28 days paid holiday

    Mondays off

    Pension contributions

Staff meals with delicious, high-quality food

Opportunity to grow and develop within the hospitality industry

A fun, supportive working environment within a growing restaurant
