We are now looking for an experienced Account Manager to help strengthen and grow our strategic customer relationships.Role Introduction We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead the management and growth of FoodLab's key customer accounts, including some of our largest global partnerships.Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will take ownership of strategic customer relationships, ensuring outstanding service delivery while identifying opportunities to grow revenue, profitability, and long-term partnerships.You will act as the primary commercial contact for your customer portfolio, working cross-functionally with operations, technical, procurement, finance, and supply chain teams to deliver projects successfully and exceed customer expectations.The role combines relationship management, commercial strategy, forecasting, project leadership, and business development. Own and manage a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, acting as the primary commercial point of contact.
Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders across customer organisations.
Deliver revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer retention targets.
Develop and execute account growth plans aligned to customer and business objectives.
Lead commercial discussions including pricing, forecasting, annual planning, promotions, new product development, and contract negotiations.
Identify opportunities to increase customer spend, expand product ranges, and develop new commercial partnerships.
Manage customer forecasts and demand planning activities, ensuring alignment with operational and supply chain teams.
Lead customer business reviews and present performance updates, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
Coordinate internal teams to ensure projects, launches, and customer requirements are delivered successfully.
Drive resolution of customer issues and ensure exceptional service levels are maintained.
Monitor account profitability and proactively identify opportunities to improve commercial performance.
Support new customer onboarding and transition activities where required.
Maintain accurate customer data, forecasts, opportunities, and commercial information within CRM systems.
Lead customer sample programmes and product development projects through to commercialisation.
Work closely with the CCO to support broader commercial strategy and business growth initiatives.
Manage and mentor Account Executives, supporting their development and performance.
What You'll Have
Proven experience in Account Management, National Account Management, Customer Development, Business Development, or Commercial Management roles.
Demonstrable experience managing strategic customer relationships within a B2B environment.
Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue growth and managing profitability.
Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience in forecasting, sales analysis, and commercial reporting.
Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate commercial pipelines and customer data.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Experience leading customer meetings and presenting to senior stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
Experience within FMCG, beverage, food manufacturing, ingredients, retail, or consumer goods sectors.
Experience managing international customer accounts.
Exposure to contract manufacturing, private label, or ingredient supply businesses.
Experience working with forecasting, demand planning, and supply chain functions.
Experience managing customer profitability and pricing strategies.
Previous experience mentoring or managing junior commercial team members.
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and sales planning systems.
