Description

Kitchen Porter – Full-Time, London-Based, Permanent Position About Odyssey

Odyssey is redefining private aviation catering by combining the culinary excellence of our two Michelin-starred chef with world-class customer service. Already established in London and Paris, we are expanding internationally with a simple promise: uncompromising quality, responsiveness, and personalisation.

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and disciplined Kitchen Porter to join our London team. You are the backbone of our kitchen operations. In an environment where we cater to VIP global clients, your role is vital in ensuring our chefs have the clean tools and organised space they need to create world-class dishes. You will maintain the highest standards of hygiene and support the smooth flow of the kitchen during high-pressure prep and dispatch periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hygiene Excellence: Maintain impeccable cleanliness across the kitchen, including washing high-end equipment and specialised aviation catering trays.

  • Organisational Support: Assist the chefs with basic food prep (e.g., vegetable prep) during peak times and ensure the dry stores and walk-in fridges are organised.

  • Stock Management: Help with the receipt and unloading of luxury ingredient deliveries, ensuring everything is stored correctly according to food safety standards.

  • Operational Flow: Clear and clean workstations rapidly to keep the kitchen "service-ready" at all times, especially during urgent, last-minute VIP orders.

  • Waste Control: Manage kitchen waste and recycling efficiently, adhering to all health and safety and environmental protocols.

  • Site Maintenance: Deep clean heavy kitchen machinery and maintain floor safety to avoid any "audit flags" or hazards.

Your Profile
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment (luxury or high-volume experience is a plus).

  • Work Ethic: A "no task is too small" attitude. You take pride in a spotless workspace.

  • Stamina & Speed: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where private jet schedules demand strict deadlines.

  • Communication: Good level of English to communicate effectively with the culinary and concierge teams.

  • Reliability: Punctual, proactive, and capable of working independently without constant supervision.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with COSHH and basic Food Safety regulations is highly desirable.

What We Offer
  • The Opportunity: Join a fast-growing, elite business where your contribution to the kitchen’s success is truly valued.

  • Environment: A people-first, high-performance kitchen focused on craftsmanship and team spirit.

  • Stability: A full-time, permanent contract (20–40 hours per week, depending on agreement) with regular hours.

  • Progression: Clear opportunities to learn from Michelin-level chefs and progress within a global hospitality brand.
