Director of Operations
Location: Remote (initially) with regular travel to our sites across London, Surrey and Enfield (and other regions as the business expands)
Role Overview:
As the Director of Operations at Stolt Cleaning Company, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for overseeing the entire operations team. This is a dynamic opportunity to play a key role in a fast-growing company that, at just two years old, has ambitions to become the leading commercial cleaning brand in the UK and beyond.
Stolt has already secured an impressive client base and is backed by investors, positioning itself for significant growth in the cleaning industry. Joining at this early stage means you will have a direct and meaningful impact on shaping the company’s future, driving operational excellence, and supporting its ambitious growth objectives.
Role Requirements:
The role demands someone who is willing to dive into the day-to-day operations while also maintaining a highly strategic mindset. You’ll need to be able to present data-driven information, proposals, and ideas that are clearly communicated, well thought-out, and aligned with business goals. Focusing on the right priorities, you must also be agile, solving problems quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. While your experience will be key and valued, we’re also looking for someone who can approach challenges in new, innovative ways and think outside the box.
This is not a typical 9-5 role. As an early-stage company, Stolt requires someone fully committed to managing all business operations and driving the company’s growth. You’ll need to be prepared (and excited!) for an intense and varied workload that may include working evenings and weekends when necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of cleaning contracts, maintain client satisfaction, and deliver top-quality services. You’ll initially oversee a small team, including eventually one Area Manager (more as we scale) and the cleaning teams, requiring you to balance strategic thinking with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operations.
The Opportunity: The benefit of joining an early-stage company like Stolt is that you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting mark on a growing and ambitious business. As a meaningful shareholder, you’ll be part of a company that aims to dominate the cleaning industry. We're looking for someone who will grow with us and take on the challenge of building something enormous.
It’s a big role, a big challenge, and a huge opportunity.

3. Helping Grow the Brand by Cultivating Stolt's Internal Culture and Enhancing
Its External Brand Image:
