Job Title: Dishwasher

Type: Full-Time

Our luxurious club will offer members an unparalleled dining experience blending elegance and energy in an “urban country club” setting. With a focus on both Culinary & Service Michelin-star-level experiences, we strive to create unforgettable moments that cater to the most discerning clientele.

Position Overview: We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Dishwasher to support our culinary and service teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The Dishwasher will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchenware, glassware, and utensils are properly cleaned, sanitized, and stored. This role is crucial in maintaining the club’s high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas and transport them to the dishwashing station.
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines, ensuring all items are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • Maintain proper temperature and chemical concentrations in dish machines in accordance with health department standards.
  • Wash specific items by hand, such as wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate glassware, as needed.
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately in designated areas to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Set up workstations before meal prep begins, ensuring all necessary kitchen tools and equipment are available.
  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock, such as detergents and sanitizers, and place orders as necessary.
  • Check washing machines’ operation regularly and promptly report any technical or performance issues to the kitchen management.
  • Remove garbage and recycling regularly, following proper waste disposal procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen area, including floors, walls, and equipment, to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
  • Wash and sanitize all kitchen mats as needed to prevent accidents and ensure cleanliness.
  • Sanitize all back-of-the-house areas, including the break room, to maintain overall hygiene and safety.
  • Use proper caution signage when cleaning spills and ensure that floors are dry and safe for traffic.
  • Report to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, and front-of-house management for any additional tasks or instructions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and cooperative demeanor towards coworkers and guests, contributing to a pleasant work environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from kitchen management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
