Waiter/Waitress – Join the Team at Jang 

Join the team at Engel & Jang, an exceptional restaurant, bar & events space situated on the Mezzanine of the iconic Royal Exchange in the heart of the City of London.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and personable Waiter/Waitress to join our Front of House team. Start date: September 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with guests. You will play an important role in creating a memorable dining experience by delivering warm, professional and consistently high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide warm, professional and attentive service to all guests.

·       Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

·       Maintain excellent knowledge of our food and drinks menus, including ingredients and allergens.

·       Confidently make recommendations and guide guests through our menu.

·       Serve food and beverages to consistently high standards.

·       Anticipate guest needs and ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.

·       Work closely with the kitchen, bar and wider Front of House team to ensure efficient service.

·       Prepare and maintain tables and service areas to a high standard.

·       Assist with private events and functions when required.

·       Follow all health & safety, food hygiene and company procedures.

·       Deliver consistently high standards of hospitality and guest service.

Requirements

·       Previous experience as a Waiter or in a similar Front of House role within a quality restaurant or hospitality environment.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Warm, confident and professional personality.

·       Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic approach.

·       Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

·       Ability to work effectively as part of a busy Front of House team.

·       A natural hospitality professional who enjoys interacting with guests.

·       Good knowledge of food, wine and beverages is an advantage.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent service standards.

·       Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

The Role

·       £16.27 per hour.

·       40-hour contract.

·       Monday to Saturday operation – we are closed on Sundays.
