Your Role

As a General Manager, you are fully responsible and accountable for the success of the restaurant. You lead day‑to‑day operations, develop your leadership team, and execute the business plan with consistency and excellence. You set the tone, expectations, and energy for the entire restaurant.


What You’ll Do

You’ll lead at the highest level and keep the operation running hot:

  • Own all restaurant operations and performance outcomes at all times
  • Lead, coach, and develop your management team and Team Members to exceed expectations
  • Execute and reinforce training through the Dave’s Hot Chicken Training Program
  • Ensure Ops Walks and Q&A checks are completed consistently and follow through on improvement opportunities
  • Oversee scheduling, coaching attendance, managing time‑off, and staffing to business needs
  • Ensure food quality, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant daily
  • Handle escalated guest issues with professionalism and confidence
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and oversee daily execution of all team members
  • Implement and enforce advanced cash‑handling procedures and controls
  • Manage purchasing, inventory, maintenance, and operational systems
  • Analyze performance metrics, build sales strategies, and forecast future results
  • Drive workplace efficiency, accountability, and goal achievement
  • Maintain brand standards, uniform compliance, and professionalism
  • Enforce company policies and align with leadership directives

How You’ll Lead

General Managers are business owners in mindset and execution:

  • Create, execute, and follow up on the restaurant’s business plan
  • Plan, organize, and lead all daily operations with your management team
  • Ensure all administrative duties, checklists, reporting, and documentation are completed accurately
  • Oversee and support opening and closing procedures
  • Build a culture of trust, accountability, and open communication
  • Role‑model strong leadership, professionalism, and guest‑first decision making
  • Control food, labor, and cash costs to protect profitability
  • Resolve team conflicts constructively while maintaining high standards
  • Partner effectively with your immediate supervisor and leadership partners

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Are 21 years or older and fluent in English
  • Have previous Assistant General Manager or General Manager experience
  • Are certified in all stations through the DHC Training Program
  • Hold a current ServSafe Certification
  • Lead confidently, proactively, and with attention to detail
  • Are committed to guest satisfaction, team development, and business results
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of leadership

Schedule & Availability

  • Flexible schedule including opening and closing shifts
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays required
  • Willing to step in when leadership presence is needed

Transportation & Accessibility

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
  • Reliable phone or communication method

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Able to stand, move, bend, and work for extended periods
  • Comfortable working around heat and in close quarters
  • Able to lift 50–75 lbs.
