Job description

PositionSummary

TheEvent Coordinator is responsible for the promotion and sale of venue spacesalong with food and beverage offerings.

Dutiesand Responsibilities:

  • Research markets to identify opportunities for events (Sales/Cold Calls)
  • Attend weekly offsite networking events for solicitation of new business with Event Managers
  • Assist in hosting monthly on-site networking events for maintenance of current relationships and development of new relationships with Event Managers
  • Assist in developing new and maintaining current relationships with local hotels sales team to generate business with Event Managers
  • Answer events department phone lines and filter incoming leads.
  • Input all leads into TripleSeat ie: location hold, client contact information, etc.
  • Create event inquiries and contracts following department parameters.
  • Create and update all contracts and BEOs as requested by client.
  • Create daily custom menus for all events.
  • Assist and oversee day of event set up and logistics if necessary.
  • Charge Event deposits via TripleSeat for all contracts
  • Maintains cleanliness of front-of house areas, and the entire venue.
  • Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to the Department of Health and company sanitation standards are followed.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
  • Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
  • Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
  • Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all employees.
  • Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Anticipates and accommodates the needs of guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.

OurIdeal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in Events, PR or Marketing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams)
  • Enthusiastic, organized, responsible, willing to learn, ability to multitask, organized.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
