Job DescriptionThe Events Manager is responsible for the promotion and sale of venue spaces along with food and beverage offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research markets to identify opportunities for events (Sales/Cold Calls)
- Assist in hosting on-site networking events for maintenance of current relationships and development of new relationships.
- Answer events department phone lines and filter incoming leads.
- Create event inquiries and contracts following department parameters
- Create and update all contracts and BEOs as requested by client.
- Create daily custom menus for all events
- Assist and oversee day of event set up and logistics if necessary
- Maintains cleanliness of front-of house areas, and the entire venue.
- Protects establishment, guests, and employees by adhering to the Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and proactive with a strong attention to detail.
- Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
- Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all employees
- Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
- Anticipates and accommodates needs of guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-2 years of experience in Events, PR or Marketing
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams)
- Enthusiastic, organized, responsible, willing to learn, ability to multitask, organized
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
