Position Summary
The Host will be responsible for welcoming, greeting and seating guests in a gracious, accommodating, and professional manner, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction. Hosts are also responsible for managing reservations and providing accurate wait times for guests without reservations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
Greet guests with a welcoming smile and professional manner while assisting guests to their table.
Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company.
Anticipates and accommodates the needs of guests while providing professional and exceptional service.
Able to assign seating considering service standards, staffing levels and kitchen capacity.
Maintain knowledge of table/seat/station numbers and proper table set ups.
Set up host stand, review reservation book, and maintain general cleanliness and orderliness of the area throughout shift.
Assist with incoming calls and answering questions from guests and confirming reservations.
Perform side work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
Responsible for making sure all menus are organized and current, taking weekly inventory of the menu paper, menu backs and desk stationery.
Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
Understands the policies and procedures of the organization and adheres to the company standards outlined in the company handbook.
Other duties as assigned.

Previous host/hospitality experience in high volume restaurant preferred.
Demonstrates effective oral & written communication skills.

Certifications Required
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.
Role may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying shifts days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
