Position Summary
The Director of Nightlife is responsible for the operational success of
the nightlife scene, including overseeing nightlife venues, programming, &
events, as well as managing inventory and nightlife staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees
and directs all aspects of nightlife operations.
- Supports
the delivery of outstanding customer service through seamless delivery of
service, including training and developing nightlife staff.
- Works in
cooperation with the Director of Operations and Executive Leadership Team to
set business objectives and develop strategies for continued nightlife success.
- Manages
and controls department expenditures, staying within agreed budgets; cognizant
of P/L.
- Directs
and assists in the development of competitive promotional plans in order to
increase business levels and sales.
- Maintains
a close working relationship with the Marketing and Sales teams including
regular weekly meetings.
- Ensures
that high-end clients are taken care of while visiting our nightlife venues
through development of VIP nightlife services.
- Stays in
tune with latest industry trends and interests ensuring that VIP Services are
in line or exceeding current trends.
- Oversees VIP
Host team in all areas of development, sales techniques, product knowledge,
incentives and employee engagement.
- Ensures
that nightlife systems and procedures are consistently applied throughout
venues.
- Portrays a positive and professional attitude and appearance.
- Understands the policies and procedures of the
organization and adheres to the company standards outlined in the company
handbook.
- Possesses conversational knowledge of food and beverage
items served at the establishment.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Previous
experience with pre-opening of a restaurant/nightclub is a plus.
- Strong
knowledge of the commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in nightlife
is required.
- Must
be able to create fun in a fast-paced and stressful environment; flexible and
adaptable to change.
- Demonstrates effective oral & written communication,
interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Possesses
excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills and time management
ability.
- Has a solid understanding of the job
duties assigned to them and outlined in their job description.
Skills / Requirements
- Minimum
3-5 years of restaurant/nightclub management experience.
- Knowledge
of Marketing, Social Media, VIP, Hosting, Promotions required
- Must be 21 years of age or
older.
- RBS Certification required.
- Food Manager Safety
certification required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to stand, walk,
lift and bend for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend and lift
up to 50 lbs.
- Role may include job duties or
tasks requiring repetitive motion.
- Role may include exposure to
hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
- Must be able to work and
remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to work a flexible
schedule with varying shifts days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
