THE ROLE

We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join our friendly and committed Housekeeping Department team to contribute to the performance of the hotel by ensuring guest bedrooms, along with all public areas, are cleaned and presented to high standards with exceptional customer service in mind.


THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • To complete all housekeeping duties as directed by the Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Manager or Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • To support supervisors with the training of new employees in line with the service standards of the hotel.
  • To ensure all repair and maintenance needs are reported to the Maintenance Department in the appropriate manner.
  • To comply with the policy and procedure outlined in the contract of employment and the Staff Handbook.
  • To contribute to the success of the housekeeping team by assisting with the workload appropriately.
  • The clean employee accommodation communal areas and rooms as requested in preparation for and to welcome new employees.
  • To contribute to the cleaning of the Spa facilities, as requested by Management, when required.
  • To communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Manager and Supervisors to address any concerns or issues within the team.
  • To recognise training needs within the team and promote a supportive working environment to produce a high performing team.
  • To comply with statutory and legal requirements by working in accordance with fire and safety regulations.
  • To bring to the attention of the Housekeeping Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisors any factors which may be of detriment to colleagues.
  • To ensure interaction with guests is done so in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Attend all relevant meetings or training as required.
  • Assist with any other tasks which may arise to support colleagues and the performance of the hotel.

Ideally you will have experience working in a housekeeping role or equivalent. It is desirable you have experience working in a busy 4* hotel, but this is not essential. You will be trained to the standards required.
