Criterion Hospitality is seeking a professional Security Officer to join our existing team to help to maintain its current business needs to a high standard.  We are seeking flexible, motivated individuals who can multitask and make a measurable contribution to the continued success of Kingsland Shopping Centre.  Full training and uniform will be provided.

The role is critical to ensure the operational day-to-day frontline services work like clockwork.  A typical shift for someone who is self-motivated, could include dealing with tenants and visitors, attention to detail, good communication and reporting skills.  We are looking for people who are reliable, have a strong work ethic, communicates well and able to work within a team environment.   An individual who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of being smart, and always presented in uniform.

Role Specification:

• Maintain a standard of Customer Service and remain approachable throughout, whilst carrying out duties on shift
• Highly motivated with an eye for detail and able to use own initiative
• Ensure Security and Safety of life and property for the Centre
• Ensure that Health and Safety checks are carried out in a prompt manner and enforced throughout the premises with swift reporting of non-compliances
• Efficiently carrying out site patrols, and tasks across the premises including the Car Park
• Maintaining good working relationships with Centre Tenants and stakeholders alike
• Ensure swift handling and reporting of any incidents on site
• Assist in security protocols for Centre Evacuation
• key holding and keeping all areas secure
• Maintain a swift operation of the Control Room function
• Assist with all Car Park operations and functions
• Comply with GDPR regulations for when dealing with sensitive information.

Personnel Specification:

• Solid 2 years Retail Security specific experience customer-facing environment
• SIA Door Supervision and CCTV badge essential
•  Excellent timekeeping and shift attendance essential
• Must have valid right to work documentation and a 5-year traceable work history
•  The ability to remain calm in a pressurised environment
• Excellent Customer Service and conflict management skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team
• Problem-solving, and dynamic decision making essential
• IT literate in Microsoft Office
•  Report writing essential
• Familiarity with Control Room equipment and functions
• Must be available to work Working Days, Nights across a 7-day shift pattern
