DescriptionThe Hospitality Manager supports the daily operations of the restaurant by leading the front-of-house team, creating memorable guest experiences, and ensuring service standards are executed with consistency and care.
This role partners closely with culinary leadership to create a seamless connection between the kitchen and the dining room. It’s a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves developing people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, high-energy restaurant culture.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Guest Experience
Lead service with a hands-on presence in the lobby/dining room, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for
Create a guest experience that reflects our commitment to clean, thoughtfully prepared food and genuine hospitality
Anticipate guest needs, respond to feedback with care, and turn service challenges into memorable recovery moments
Manage and Develop the Front-of-House Team
Train and mentor service team members on hospitality standards, service flow, and guest engagement
Provide real-time coaching and thoughtful feedback during service
Lead service shifts and maintain a strong presence on the floor
Ensure clear communication between the front of house and kitchen to support smooth, efficient service
Maintain high standards for organization, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the restaurant
Ensure service + hospitality philosophy, safety standards, and operational procedures are consistently followed
Support scheduling, staffing, and shift coverage to maintain strong service execution
Help the team stay organized and focused during high-volume service periods
Help create a workplace where team members feel supported, respected, and proud of the work they do
Lead with professionalism, empathy, and accountability
Reinforce goop kitchen’s commitment to people-first leadership and a culture of growth
Requirements
1+ years of restaurant leadership experience (Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or Service Leader preferred)
Experience in full-service, fast casual or hospitality-driven restaurant environments
Passion for food, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to stay organized and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
