Description: The Hospitality Shift Lead is the ambassador of the guest experience — the first and last impression every guest has when they visit a goop kitchen location. This is a hands-on hourly leadership role for someone who takes pride in great hospitality, naturally steps up to support their teammates, and holds a high bar for every detail guests see, feel, and experience.
You'll guide the front-of-house team during your shift, uphold service and cleanliness standards, and work closely with management and kitchen staff to keep operations running smoothly from open to close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome every guest with warmth and intention — greeting with a smile, and thanking them as they leave
- Maintain an active presence on the floor, anticipating guest needs and turning service challenges into positive moments
- Assist guests with the digital ordering experience including the app and website; support credit card purchases and activations as needed
- Be knowledgeable about the goop kitchen Loyalty program and share that knowledge with guests
- Ensure accurate order handoff to guests and delivery drivers, following Perfect Packing Procedures and verifying every order before it leaves
- Set up, maintain, and close all guest-facing areas — lobby, patio, dining room, and restrooms — to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Maintain the exterior appearance of the location including entry doors, windows, and outdoor areas throughout the shift
- Act as the go-to point of contact for the team when management is not on the floor, keeping communication clear between front-of-house and kitchen
- Support teammates in real time, helping the team stay focused, motivated, and organized during high-volume periods
- Flag any issues or concerns to management promptly

Qualifications & Experience: - Prior restaurant or hospitality experience required; previous shift lead or supervisory experience a plus
- Passion for food, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Comfortable with digital ordering systems and guest-facing technology
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to support and motivate a team
- Detail-oriented with high standards for cleanliness and presentation
- Able to stay calm, organized, and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Essential Physical Functions:
- Standing & Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, often for the entire shift.
- Lifting & Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (e.g., boxes of ingredients, kitchen equipment) without assistance.
- Bending & Reaching: Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching is required while working in the kitchen or accessing inventory.
- Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle knives, kitchen tools, and equipment with precision and safety.
- Temperature Tolerance: Must be able to work in hot, cold, and humid environments, including near ovens, stoves, and refrigeration units.
- Visual & Auditory Ability: Must have strong visual and auditory ability to oversee food preparation, ensure accuracy, and communicate with the kitchen team effectively.
- Mobility: Must have the physical stamina to move efficiently between different kitchen areas and stations throughout the shift.
- Potential Allergens: Must be able to tolerate potential allergens, such as peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
