Description


As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within our residential flats. The maintenance engineers’ primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. You will need to be reliable, hardworking, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and out-of-hours emergency call-outs.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the residential flats, including any faults or repairs.
  • Plumbing – unblocking drains/toilets, repairing/replacing taps, etc.
  • Minor electrical works – replacing lamps/fittings, sockets, and switches, etc.
  • Carry out Health & Safety tasks, i.e., weekly fire alarm tests, water temperature monitoring, showerhead descaling, etc.
  • Maintenance on HVAC systems, i.e., filter cleaning/replacing.
  • Ensure that the residential flats are kept to the highest maintenance standards.
  • Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests and concerns raised by residents and team members according to the company's reporting procedure.

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Previous experience in residential maintenance or similar settings.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 in any trade is desired but not essential.
