Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to help keep our residential flats safe, comfortable, and in good working order. You will carry out day-to-day repairs, respond to maintenance requests, and make sure the building is well looked after. The role will involve flexible working, including weekends and emergency call-outs when required.

Main Duties:
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance in residents’ flats.

  • Basic plumbing jobs such as unblocking toilets/drains and fixing/replacing taps.

  • Basic electrical work such as changing light fittings, sockets, and switches.

  • Complete regular Health & Safety checks (fire alarm testing, water checks, showerhead cleaning).

  • Look after HVAC systems by changing/cleaning filters.

  • Keep all areas maintained to a high standard.

  • Respond quickly to repair requests from residents and staff.

About You:
  • Experience in property or residential maintenance (or similar).

  • Able to work on your own and with others.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic knowledge of workplace Health & Safety.

  • A trade qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Level 2) is an advantage but not essential.
