We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to help keep our residential flats safe, comfortable, and in good working order. You will carry out day-to-day repairs, respond to maintenance requests, and make sure the building is well looked after. The role will involve flexible working, including weekends and emergency call-outs when required.
Main Duties:Carry out general repairs and maintenance in residents’ flats.
Basic plumbing jobs such as unblocking toilets/drains and fixing/replacing taps.
Basic electrical work such as changing light fittings, sockets, and switches.
Complete regular Health & Safety checks (fire alarm testing, water checks, showerhead cleaning).
Look after HVAC systems by changing/cleaning filters.
Keep all areas maintained to a high standard.
Respond quickly to repair requests from residents and staff.
Experience in property or residential maintenance (or similar).
Able to work on your own and with others.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of workplace Health & Safety.
A trade qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Level 2) is an advantage but not essential.
