Retail Associates at District Doughnut do more than just sell our product; they are an extension of our brand and represent our company to all customers they come into contact with. Retail Associates must not only be capable of managing the appearance of the storefront, but also possess the ability to engage our customers with detailed knowledge of our products in order to create a unique experience for every customer that walks into our store.
Reporting to: Retail Manager and Retail Shift Managers
Responsible for: Customer sales and experience, and maintenance of retail space appearance
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for all orders of drinks and doughnuts
2. Proper, professional, and welcome engagement with customers
3. Knowledge of each product, its ingredients, and pastry making process
4. Constant attention to Retail workspace including cleanliness of table surfaces, floors, walls, counters, doughnut racks, service area, coffee station, and bathroom
5. Responsible for POS and cash drawer
6. Maintain display case and re-tray as needed
Key Working Relationships
Retail Associates will work with Bakery Managers to discuss and manage custom orders as well as the Director of Sales and Marketing and Retail Managers to help manage pre-orders for each location. They will be under the supervision of the Retail Manager and Retail Shift Managers.
Hours of Shift
Store shifts are typically 4-8 hours per shift. Opening shifts begin an hour to 30 minutes before store opening, while closing shifts extend to 45 minutes to an hour after store closing. “Floater” shifts are mid-day and will vary according to need during normal store hours.

Monday - Friday: 7AM-4PM
Saturday and Sunday: 8AM-5PM
Georgetown Store Hours:
Monday- Friday: 8AM-4PM
Saturday through Sunday: 9AM-5PM
Wharf Store Hours:
April-October
Monday - Thursday: 7AM-7PM
Friday - Sunday: 7AM-9PM
November-March
Monday-Sunday: 7AM-7PM
Union Market Store Hours:
Sunday-Wednesday: 8AM-8PM
Thursday-Saturday: 8AM-9PM
Ballston Store Hours:
Sunday-Thursday: 10AM-9PM
Friday-Saturday: 10AM-10PM
