Job Details

The Barback is responsible for supporting the bartenders by maintaining stock, changing kegs, collecting empty glassware, and ensuring a clean work station

Duties and Responsibilities:


- Serve as an assistant to all bartenders
- Verify that the bar is constantly set up for success throughout the shift
- Fill/refill all ice bins, juices, paper products, etc.
- Restock all beers, wines and other liquors
- Polish all cleaned glassware and then stocking the bar area with it
- Keep bar dishwashing sinks filled with correct cleaning solution and levels
- Test all juices and date
- Maintain inventory of all liquor and alert a manager for re-ordering
- Provide engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact, respectable conversation and smiling
- Practice highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials
- Follow and adhere to all standards set forth by the Board of Health
- Performs other related activities as assigned by management and senior bar staff

Qualifications

- Deliver timely and courteous service to LDV Hospitality guests in adherence to our company policies and procedures
- Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
- Must have basic math skills
- Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to have an outgoing, friendly disposition for guest relations
- Working knowledge of drink recipes and preparation
- Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards
- Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times
- Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required
- Responsible for training and developing new employees to LDV Hospitality’s standards of service
- Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned by management
- Adhere to all HR policies and procedures

Education, Experience, Knowledge Requirements

- Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Barback in a similar caliber establishment
- A high school education is required

Physical/Special Requirements

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
- Mobility and manual dexterity appropriate to staff in the Barback position

Work Environment

- Ability to withstand a high volume of business and the movement, noise and temperature extremes associated with that volume
- Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
