Description

The Fast Food Shift Manager will provide a wide range of duties to provide exceptional service and support to guests and staff. The Shift Manager is responsible to ensure the effective working of their team over the course of a work shift while working with Restaurant Managers and other Team Members to maintain operational standards and procedures.   


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Yes.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Delegate tasks to staff, set targets and goals to keep team on track and review team member performance to ensure growth.

  • Greets guests with a smile and interacts with customers. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.

  • Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences. Demonstrates and explains merchandise, suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs. Respond appropriately to customer issues.

  • Ordering and stocking of supplies. Receives and checks deliveries. Unloads and stocks inventory items as needed. Retrieves merchandise from stockroom. 

  • Acts as first point of contact for staff who call in sick, need help or need to request time off.

  • Verifies the accuracy of guests’ orders. Processes returns and exchanges.

  • Provides assistance to GM and Asst. GM in relation to payroll, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and training new team members.

  • Manages Team Member performance, providing guidance and counseling as needed.

  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and industry guidelines. Maintains a safe working environment for all employees.

  • Enhances abilities of Team Members, providing guidance and support to groom them for future management roles.

  • Performs duties at multiple workstations within the store, to include cashier, guest services, drive through, food preparation and cooking.  Provides hands on assistance and support with all cleaning, food preparation areas, cooking and customer service tasks. 

  • Prompt and regular attendance on required shifts. 

  • Maintains a clean and polished appearance. Adheres to uniform and dress code policies.

  • Exhibits leadership and team effectiveness mentality. Works with others to achieve store goals.

  • Communicates positively with management, customers and other team members.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
