Description

Double Bull Taphouse part of the Webber Restaurant Group, located in Peabody MA is now hiring for FT/PT  Food Runners!

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and organized individual to join our team as a Food Runner. A restaurant food runner is a vital member of the service team who is responsible for ensuring that all food orders are delivered promptly and accurately from the kitchen to the customers' tables. The following are the typical job duties and responsibilities of a restaurant food runner:

Responsibilities:

  • Review food orders: The food runner should review each order carefully to ensure that all items are accounted for and meet the customer's specific requests.
  • Communicate with the kitchen: The food runner must communicate with the kitchen staff to confirm that all dishes are ready to be delivered and to ensure that any special instructions are followed.
  • Deliver food: The food runner must deliver the food to the correct table promptly and with a positive attitude. They should ensure that all dishes are presented correctly and that any condiments or side dishes are included.
  • Assist with table setup: The food runner should assist with table setup by ensuring that all utensils, napkins, and condiments are in place.
  • Maintain a clean work environment: The food runner should maintain a clean and organized work environment by ensuring that all dishes and utensils are washed and stored properly.
  • Follow restaurant policies and procedures: The food runner should follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including hygiene and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and carry heavy trays of food
