With Colchester’s historic City Centre just a few minutes away and the beautiful Essex countryside close by, it’s the ideal base from which to explore the local area. Inside the Dragonfly Hotel in Colchester, you’ll find every amenity that’s required for our guests to feel like it’s a home from home in one of our 50 rooms, such as free WiFi, 43” flat screen TVs, ironing & tea and coffee making facilities and gloriously welcoming Hypnos beds. We’re looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach, can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, carry out instructions, be able to pay close attention to detail and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.

To succeed within the role you must have previous experience of working within a hotel reception and knowledge of hotel reservations systems. You should also have good sales ability, an approachable manner, and knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• taking reservations,
• dealing with guests’ enquiries and assistance,
• check-ins and check-outs,
• taking payments,
• answering calls and emails and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.
