Bartender Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide an exceptional guest drinking experience by preparing and serving a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Your creativity and customer service skills will help create memorable moments for our patrons.

Duties include:

• Verify guests are the legal drinking age, according to state guidelines.
• Exceptional menu knowledge: concisely answer questions on all food/beverage categories.
• Customer interaction, take orders, make drink recommendations and engage in conversation to enhance the guest’s experience
• Cash handling, accept payments, balance cash receipts and record sales
• Communicate with management if guests have questions, concerns, or complaints.
• Taking guests’ drink and food orders correctly and entering orders into the POS system, while making drinks for the rest of the servers in the restaurant.
• Exceptional knowledge of alcoholic beverages, wines, beers, and other beverages to better aid guests.
• Restock and replenish bar supplies and inventory as necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glasses and utensils
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Active food handler’s card
• Adhere to all food and beverage regulations
• Demonstrates knowledge of Emerging policies and product, service, quality, equipment and operations standards

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

• Must be 18 years of age or over
• Capacity to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced working environment.
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods of time to perform normal job functions
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
• Must have food handler’s card
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents as well as converse comfortably with customers

Physical Requirements:

The following are physical actions that are commonly required during the performance of the daily job routine. They include but are not limited to the following:

• Walk continuously throughout the shift
