Eden Hall - Therapy
Eden Hall was built by a firm of London contractors for Robert Middleton, a farmer from Newark. The work commenced in 1872 and was completed in 1875 at an estimated cost of £30,000.<br>The house was originally named Middleton House and included a chapel with baptistry.<br><br>The local newspaper described the building as: ‘Novel on an extensive scale’ and ‘an object of great interest to the entire district.’<br><br>In recent years the refurbishment of Eden Hall became the project of Steve Joynes Jnr. Supported by English Heritage, he decided to rebuild the vast conservatory that once stood as Middleton Towers’ dominant feature and add another smaller conservatory. These plans saw the original construction budget soar by £500,000.<br><br>Eden Hall Day Spa opened on 1 February 2002.<br><br>Eden’s success has been due to providing a high-quality experience for its guests, who have shown great loyalty, with repeat visits the norm.
