FULL TIME ROLE UP TO £35K PER ANNUM

Edesia Restaurant & Lounge is a busy independent restaurant in the heart of Bath, offering a distinctive dining and hospitality experience. We are looking for an organised, commercially minded and proactive Business Coordinator to support the effective day-to-day operation and continued development of the restaurant.

The Role

The Business Coordinator will work closely with the restaurant's management team to coordinate operational and administrative activities, monitor business performance and help ensure the restaurant operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day business operations of the restaurant, including service requirements, staffing needs, rota planning, stock requirements and operational priorities.
  • Liaise with suppliers and assist with stock ordering, availability, purchasing requirements and stock usage.
  • Monitor sales performance, customer demand, booking patterns, expenditure and operational trends, particularly during busy trading periods.
  • Assist management with staffing requirements and ensure appropriate resources are planned according to anticipated business levels.
  • Support the maintenance of high customer-service and operational standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Maintain accurate business and operational records and assist with the preparation of regular management reports.
  • Analyse sales trends, staffing requirements, customer feedback, stock usage and operational costs to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support local marketing and promotional activities aimed at Bath residents, visitors and local businesses.
  • Assist with online promotions, customer engagement initiatives and competitor monitoring.
  • Review customer feedback and operational challenges and provide recommendations to management.
  • Work with the management team to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, commercial performance and the overall guest experience.
Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate should have strong organisational and communication skills with an understanding of business operations, preferably within the restaurant, hospitality, retail or service sector.

You should be comfortable working with sales and operational information, coordinating multiple priorities and communicating with staff, suppliers and management.

Previous experience involving business administration, operations coordination, stock management, staffing, customer service or commercial reporting would be advantageous.

Skills & Attributes

Strong organisational and planning skills, good commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to analyse business information, confidence working independently and as part of a management team, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues are essential.
