About the Opportunity

As an Expo / Food Runner at El Molino, you play a critical role in delivering the elevated dining experience that defines our brand. Serving as the connection between the kitchen and dining room, you help ensure every dish is presented accurately, delivered promptly, and executed with the attention to detail our guests have come to expect. Your ability to maintain the flow of service while supporting both the culinary and front-of-house teams is essential to creating a seamless guest experience.

This role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment. Successful team members move with urgency, anticipate the needs of both guests and teammates, and take pride in the details that transform a meal into a memorable experience.

Whether assisting with the delivery of premium fajitas, chef-driven dishes, handcrafted cocktails, or celebratory moments, Expo / Food Runners play an integral role in creating the warm, energetic atmosphere that makes El Molino a destination for connection, celebration, and memorable dining experiences.

Above all, this role helps ensure every guest experiences the quality, hospitality, and attention to detail that define the El Molino experience.


Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line, kitchen pass, and surrounding service areas

  • Ensure all dishes are complete, accurate, and presented to standard before leaving the kitchen

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with chefs and front-of-house team members to maintain smooth and timely service

  • Call tickets clearly and manage pacing throughout service

  • Deliver food promptly and accurately while maintaining strong awareness of table numbers and seat positions

  • Demonstrate strong menu knowledge and communicate dishes clearly to guests when needed

  • Assist with guest requests and support guest recovery efforts with professionalism and composure

  • Support servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers as needed to maintain seamless operations

  • Maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout service

  • Complete opening, mid-shift, and closing responsibilities as directed by leadership


Requirements

  • At least 18 years old

  • Minimum 3 months of hospitality experience preferred

  • Experience in dining service preferred

  • Strong understanding of the sequence of service

  • Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong punctuality and reliability

  • Willingness to continuously learn and improve

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

  • TABC and Food Handler Certification as required by state and local regulations


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
