This role is a full-time role based at The Retreat, Elcot Park in West Berkshire. 

After extensive refurbishment our hotel has been transformed to offer 55 individually bespoke designed bedrooms, two new exciting restaurant concepts, a state of the art spa facility with membership and many more experiences to offer our guests.

You will:  

• Assist in running the kitchen efficiently, ensuring smooth operations across all sections.
• Regularly check sections to maintain high standards of preparation, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Place orders for ingredients and supplies, ensuring stock levels are sufficient for daily operations.
• Opportunity to provide input into menu development and the creation of new dishes, contributing to the culinary vision of the restaurant,
• Oversee cost management and stock control, ensuring the kitchen operates within budget while minimizing waste.
• Lead the coaching and development of junior team members, offering guidance and training to enhance their skills and confidence.
• Support senior chefs in delivering high-quality standards in every dish.
• Maintain a calm coaching environment where the team can focus on delivering excellence.
• Always uphold a high standard of hygiene and safety.
