We are looking for an energetic and lively Pool Attendant to join our Spa team at The Retreat, Elcot Park located in West Berkshire as we head into the Spring and Summer months. This role is perfect for somebody that values the great outdoors, fresh air, and does not mind working in the sunshine.

After extensive refurbishment the hotel has been transformed to offer individually bespoke designed bedrooms, two new exciting restaurant concepts, a state of the art spa facility, and many more experiences to offer our guests.

You will: 

• Be comfortable working outside across the spring and summer months, attending and maintaining our Hot and Cold Tubs, including moving logs and taking care of our Fire Pits. 
• Engage with any defined training and development, in order to deliver your role on the day to day.
• Regularly inspect and take care of our pool tests, flagging any maintenance issues to the Spa Director and Maintenance team. 
• Be a team player and work closely with the wider Spa team, whilst managing your own time and priorities.
• Take care of our guests around the outdoor pool area, including drinks service, and assuming the role of lifeguard (this does not need a formal qualification).
• Regularly clean and maintain our outdoor area, so our pools are always fresh and are in pristine condition for our guests. 
• Be flexible, with the ability to fulfil weekend shifts, in addition to weekdays.
• Have general knowledge of Health & Safety areas impacting the Spa, or a hunger to learn. 
• Pool Plant Operator Course – desirable but not essential.
• Pool Emergency Responder Course – desirable but not essential.
