Electric Burrito is looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team.  The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations at Electric Burrito.  You will be guiding and helping employees, managing administrative tasks, assuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.



Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the front of house is stocked and prepared for peak periods, and that the kitchen is on task with prep during slow periods.
  • Adjusting prep sheet as needed throughout the day ensuring proper production levels for each shift.
  • Frequent communication with owners about operation quality and the overall flow of the restaurant.
  • Weekly schedule will include shifts helping the counter in the restaurant.  We are a small fast casual restaurant, so having a leader up front, guest facing, is very important to us. 
  • Maintain brand image by ensuring restaurant cleanliness, maintenance and excellent service.
  • Ordering/inventory management, receiving and organizing orders in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager.
  • Proactively identify and address and communicate any performance issues to owners.
  • Expedite the kitchen line efficiently and keep the team on task and organized during peak periods.
  • Oversee the preparation of food upheld to all safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized restaurant.
  • Hiring and Training FOH staff
  • Scheduling
  • Resolving customer incidents and working to ensure positive customer experiences.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong focus on hospitality.
  • Expected to work a minimum of 50 hours with a flexible schedule to help meet the demands of the business.
  • Previous restaurant experience with 2 years management experience.
  • Must have a valid NYC Food Handlers card.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to assess and prioritize tasks in the most efficient manner.
  • Ability and desire to jump in and assist where needed including BOH and working the build line if necessary.
  • Strong ability to communicate in the primary language(s) of our work location.
  • Computer literacy in Office: Excel, Word, Email, Slack, etc...
  • POS proficiency and ability to troubleshoot basics; printers, POS, wireless systems etc...
  • This position may require hours of prolonged standing, bending, lifting products and supplies up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate and understanding general use of kitchen equipment. 
  • High level of energy and an expectation for future growth. We are growing as a company and want growth from within
