Job description
ELECTRIC LEMON is seeking talented and experienced individuals to join Executive Chef Kyle Knall’s (Formerly of Gramercy Tavern and Maysville) culinary team for a June 2019 opening at Hudson Yards in partnership with the Equinox Hotels & STARR Restaurants, where Chef Knall’s menu will focus on health-conscious cuisine that puts flavor at the forefront.
We are currently seeking Chef de Parties with a strong work ethic and values. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for local ingredients treated with simplicity and respect and a desire to cultivate relationships with farmers and purveyors in the surrounding communities.
Line Cook Requirements:
* Minimum of 1-2 years of culinary experience in NYT 2 to 4-star rated restaurants
* Culinary school/university education is preferred
* Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve
* Ability to manage a station from prep to service
* Ability to work cleanly and efficiently with attention to detail
* Punctuality is key!
* A strong sense of urgency and strong communication skills
* Team-working
* Thorough knowledge and appreciation of seasonal cuisine is a MUST
