Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in supporting our restaurant operations by working with restaurant managers and team members to address any HR requests or support they may need. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
Support Hiring Needs: Manage full cycle recruiting for both hourly and salary positions within the restaurants and corporate office.
Manage HR Inbox: Respond to team member inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and employment verification requests in a timely manner.
Maintain Employee Files: Ensure that all restaurant team member files are up-to-date and comply with employment laws and regulations.
Onboarding: Onboard all team members into HRIS prior to payroll processing.
Employee Engagement: Organize and acknowledge employee birthdays, anniversaries, holiday parties, and other engagement activities within the restaurants and corporate office.
Compliance: Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Gather information and respond in a timely manner to unemployment claims.
Performance Management: Assist in leading Annual Performance Review process for restaurants
Benefits: Run open enrollment process in partnership with HR and Benefits provider. Ensure new hires are sent benefits enrollment upon their eligibility date. Keep benefits system updated in partnership with benefits provider.
Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, grievances and disciplinary matters in a fair and compliant way.

Your success with us requires these qualifications:
3 years’ experience in a HR support role, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Paycor.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
Competence in using job posting platforms such as Indeed, Harri and Linkedin.
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

This is primarily an office role that requires you to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time although standing in, and moving between, work areas may be required. You will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productively machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, for a significant part of each day. This role frequently requires you to move around our office or our other properties. This role occasionally requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. You will also need to be able to operate a motor vehicle to visit various properties and meeting sites and communicate effectively in person, before groups, and over the telephone.
