Conference and Events Manager

We are an independent family run luxury venue with multiple restaurants, a farm shop, picture house, wedding venue, events space, a festival field and a hotel. 

We are care about our land, our people and our guests with a desire  to delivery industry leading service with a goal to becoming one of the best hotels in the UK 

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Conference and Events Manager to assist in the day to day running of the hotel and our events department. Working within an excellent team you will be responsible for implementing service standards, managing the day to day running of events monitoring rotas, costs and stock.

The role of Conference and Events Manager will involve:

  • Management of the hotels events on a day to day basis
  • Running events and conferences with a warm and personable approach to customers
  •  Supervising, motivating and teaching front of house staff how to exceed our guests expectations
  • Dealing with customer queries and issues.
  • Operating with high levels of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Ensuring excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Liaising effectively with the sales office regarding menus and upcoming bookings.
  • Monitoring rotas on a daily basis to ensure correct staffing levels

Requirements for the Conference & Events Manager:

  • The successful candidate must have previous hospitality supervisory experience, 
  • High volume events environment will be a distinct advantage
  • Management of the venues so that all guests receive excellent standards of customer service throughout.
  • Leading shifts, including training and motivating the team.
  • Candidates must enjoy being a “hands-on” member of a team.
  •  All applicants must have a flexible approach to their work and be willing to work the hours required of the business.
  • An excellent standard of presentation is essential.
  • Our managers work a variety of shifts, on any 5 days from 7, on any day of the year.
