What you’ll do

 As an Events Supervisor, you'll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests:

  • You will support the Events Managers with the day-to-day delivery of events, helping to brief and coordinate the team and ensuring each event is set up and delivered according to the event details and guest requirements.
  • During events, you will support both guests and colleagues, respond to changes or requests and work closely with the kitchen, Events team and other hotel departments to help everything run smoothly.

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of an Events Supervisor, but we'll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.

The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. Due to the nature of Events Operations, working hours can vary and may include early starts and late finishes to support the needs of our events and guests.

 

What you’ll bring

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a guest-facing hospitality, food and beverage or events role.
  • Experience taking responsibility during a shift and supporting or guiding other team members.
  • Able to communicate instructions and information clearly to colleagues and guests.
  • Able to read and follow event details, service procedures and instructions accurately.
  • Good attention to detail, particularly with event timings, room set-up, guest requests and dietary or allergy information.
  • Able to organise and prioritise tasks during a shift.
  • Comfortable responding to changes and solving day-to-day operational issues, with support from a manager when needed.
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues across different teams and departments.
  • Able to communicate in English sufficiently to understand guest requests, event information and safety instructions.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Leader.
  • Experience working at events, banquets, conferences or functions.
  • Experience within a luxury hotel or high-quality hospitality environment.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of large or formal events.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, including dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Experience using a point-of-sale or hospitality system.
