JOB TITLE: Marketing Intern                                                              

REPORTS TO: Sr. Director of Marketing                                                     CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Marketing                                                                             LEVEL: Administrative Support Worker

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Marketing Intern will gain exposure to multiple facets of the Marketing Mix through support, planning and execution of initiatives. 6-12 month internship length depending on class and work schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support teams to plan, develop, and execute marketing initiatives
  • Help with daily administrative tasks, data entry, report generation, and preparing presentations. 
  • Ad Hoc Marketing team initiative support including analysis, initiative participation management, event execution, and communication.
  • Audit restaurant execution of test products and as needed, engage consumers via surveys to validate buyer reaction.
  • Support social content ideation and creation.
  • Support PR and influencer efforts through restaurant communication and coordination to aid in execution and ensure brand standards are met.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Capable of producing high quality work/materials while managing multiple projects.
  • Highly creative with excellent analytical abilities.
  • Must be detail oriented and disciplined to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be disciplined and focused on the pursuit of excellence.
  • Must understand and achieve company vision, mission, and goals.
  • Must have effective people skills: diplomatic, relationship oriented, effective communicator, including listening skills, accepting coaching and feedback, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and provide information in a timely manner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. The candidate must have a high degree of computer literacy and can easily learn to use new software with minimal guidance.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple projects with ever-shifting priorities.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance. This position requires occasional travel to local restaurants and partner locations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in progress.

 WORKING ENVIRONMENT/MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a marketing department job, primarily office and franchisee and/or restaurant manager contact.
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and walking (up to 8 hours at a time); bending, stooping, and lifting (up to 15 pounds).
  • When visiting restaurant locations, the Marketing Intern must adhere to the restaurant dress code policy, inclusive of wearing non-slip shoes.
