Description

Restaurant Operations

  • Develops and manages breakthrough restaurant operations programs
  • Partners and confers with key restaurant operations stakeholders to drive team vision
  • Establish restaurant and senior management reporting and analyses on initiative progress
  • Ensure the safety of our team members and guests by maintaining the highest food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Partner with training to develop a strategic plan on ensuring New Restaurant Openings are meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) post opening with prescribed time frame
  • Is knowledgeable in the New Restaurant opening procedures and can support as needed
  • Is knowledgeable in the Quality Assurance Program and can support as needed

Communication

  • Central point of communications for cross functional time sensitive communications that impact operation i.e. product shortage, protocol change or any communication not in product implementation guides
  • Responsible for planning, development, proofing, editing and communication of implementation materials for restaurant initiative that pertain to operations

Corporate

  • Completes a thorough needs analysis on all potential projects and initiatives to fully understand overall requirements
  • Gathers an analyzes information to influence operational strategies
  •  Gather data and prepare analysis to review and refine strategies to optimize revenues and gross profits
  • Responsible for analyzing and estimating initiative impact on the business
  • Organize and oversee work teams to measure, analyze and recommend actions as necessary
  • Collaborates with corporate departments in support of restaurant operations specific initiatives
  • Vendor management including quality control, inventory and communication cascade that pertain to operations

New product development and existing menu item improvement

  • Review projects and determine operational impact recommending alternate procedures to lessen impact on kitchen as necessary
  • Support R&D with products and procedures as the pertain to operations
  • Support R&D in compiling recipes and procedures
  • Source small wares for new projects and improving existing projects and processes
  • Attend R&D training for AMs and FBCs
  • Attend AMs and FBCs POD trainings
  • Visit all locations within the first 3 days of the test and continue to visit as needed
  • ·Oversee that product, procedures and processes in the test stores and ensure compliance with the implementation guide; Identify and troubleshoot operational issues promptly, as the arise
  • Ensure correct placement of marketing materials and ensure test units are returning adequate survey results if applicable
  • Attend weekly calls with the test units and document their feedback; Troubleshoot operational issues promptly as they are reported
  • Collaborate with marketing on survey complaints; monitor test store feedback and provide solutions as pertains to operations and provide recommendations for remedy
  • Document debrief of R&D test as pertaining to Operations and impact on the kitchen
  • Provide communication to AMs and FBCs on new R&D projects and solicit their feedback
  • Attend weekly RDI meetings and monthly R&D meetings
  • New product, improvement menu item and equipment rollouts
  • Lead rollouts with the support of R&D

Knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Data analysis experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment
  • Strong task organization skills that enable the individual to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate across department lines and to all levels of the company modeling and process improvement experience preferred
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical skills and problem-solving creativity
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work on an independent basis with little supervision
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
