The role — what you’ll do
- Lead shifts and take full operational ownership when the GM isn’t present.
- Motivate, coach, and develop a large, diverse team; set the tone on the floor and model exceptional service.
- Drive commercial performance: focus on sales growth, upselling, labour optimisation, and cost control.
- Own the guest experience and recovery—resolving feedback with empathy and speed.
- Manage rotas, staff productivity, and recruitment; deliver effective onboarding and ongoing training.
- Maintain stock control, cash handling, and strict adherence to safety, licensing, and brand standards.
- Help plan events and sport-focused promotions to boost footfall and revenue.
What we’re looking for
- Proven management experience in a high-volume pub, bar, or hospitality venue.
- A confident, visible leader who leads from the front and earns team respect.
- Commercially minded: comfortable with P&L basics, including sales drivers, labour, and cost control.
- Calm under pressure with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, events, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

Nice to have
